MATILDE HECKLER

Matilde Heckler is a cutting-edge young violinist making a name for herself as a violinist and singer/songwriter. Her unique approach to the alternative emo genre and her "sad songs for sad people" leave audiences captivated and asking for more. She is currently pursing a dual degree in Music Business Management and Violin Performance with a minor in Creative Entrepreneurship at Berklee College of Music located in Boston, MA. She has studied for 11 years, currently under the instruction of Sara Caswell and Julianne Lee. Matilde has served as the concertmaster with the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra and Owen J. Roberts High School Orchestra. She is a former member of the Pennsylvania All-State Orchestra, former pianist in the Owen J. Roberts Jazz band, as well a former drum major with her high school’s marching band. She is a regularly paid performer and has played with The Berks Sinfonietta, Cherrywood String Wedding Ensembles, and now with Speechless Strings.
