violinist | arranger | producer | singer, songwriter

Matilde Heckler is a cutting edge artist making a name for herself as a multi-faceted talent. Working primarily as an acoustic and electric violinist, she is a genre-bending player with a wide range of experience including live performances, film/tv, recording sessions, and more. She recently graduated from Berklee College of Music on a full-tuition scholarship and is now based in New York City.

Heckler has performed for projects and artists including The Met Gala, Mean Girls The Musical The Movie, Jeremy Zucker, Chelsea Cutler, Dermot Kennedy, Yoko Kanno, Liamani, Mark Woods, Black Hibiscus, and more. As a classically trained musician who has branched into pop, rock, jazz, and hip hop, she brings a unique and extremely versatile style to everything she is a part of. She also doubles on viola.

Aside from recording and performing for others, she is also a passionate singer/songwriter who fuses soaring string lines into addicting indie-rock originals. Her most recent release, "bodybag," features these intricate violin melodies and introspective lyrics. With over 150k streams across platforms, numerous Spotify editorial placements, blog coverage, packed live shows, and more, Heckler is quickly making an impact with her music.

Heckler's talents span far beyond just music. Most recently, she landed her first feature film with Paramount Pictures in Mean Girls The Musical as a featured actress and musician, playing violin, piano, bass, and singing. She is also a talented designer and artist - creating her own merch and is often seen wearing her own designs out and about.
